Well it’s the first week of Fall. Where did the summer go? All of a sudden the mornings are cool, and my coat is finally growing back. This is our favorite time of year here at the Ranch, as it signals change and new things. My human shifts into high gear (who knew she had another one!), and there is lots do do before the stillness of winter sets in.
Speaking of change, my human finally extended my yard, and I’m so happy to have more space to prance about in. It’s wonderful! I’m right next to the garden now, so I can visit with my busy human while she’s picking (my favorite) peaches. If this Fall is any indication of where things are headed, I’m thinking that this winter is looking fabulous…
So imagine my surprise when she arrived home a few days ago with a strange animal none of us had ever seen before. HUGE ears…it kinda looks like a horse, but tiny. And then, he ends up in my new, oh-so-wonderful yard! And then he opened his mouth – OMG, it’s a baby donkey! I think we’re going to get along fine, but Billy is surely another matter. He doesn’t do well with change…
