Well this is the last day of November, and I’m lying here in my condo, looking up at my (normally-sparkling) chandelier, and noticing how very dusty it is. My human hasn’t cleaned it in awhile…what’s that all about?
And what is it about this time of year? First we have a day on which all humans eat turkey, and then, it seems, they go out and cut down trees, bring them into their houses, and cover them in glittery things! I was just asking Billy about this yesterday, as we watched our human and her mate drag a huge tree into the house. Billy says he doesn’t know anything about the tree – except that the branch tips look pretty tasty – which shows how dumb he continues to be. Always thinking with his stomach, that one.
Little Man (who is beginning to show some promise) says he overheard Dahli Llama explaining that this is time of year when humans tend to think about what they are thankful for, and gather with family and friends. Out here, Ringo and Dahli talk about how grateful they are for unexpected little Waldo. Precious is thankful that Baby Galleta is getting so big and strong, while Chica and Honey Bunny are snuggled up with El Carbon and Londarado.
And me? I do like my chandelier. And mealtimes. And treats. And scratches. Little Man is growing on me, but Billy? Forget it.
